Life is short

Have any of you ever stopped to number your days? In reality we don't have that many. We are all limited by time. Death is approaching us, yes, every one of us. What things do we want to accomplish, but always put off? No one knows when he will die so spend so spend your life in a manner which you can stand before God and not look back and say "Wow what a total waste"!We all need to spend our limited time on earth in a way that glorifies God. He will use us for his purposes. He is the one who made us, so trust him. He will guide your paths. Life is short, live it well.

Psalms

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Fun at Friends house

Yesterday, I went to my friend Kelsea's house. We made some delicious mini sponge cakes with a fudge sauce topping. We also dressed the littles (Katie and Kristina)to be like Anastasia from Cinderella. They both looked hilarious. We also did the worst possible make-up job on them, at their request. That was really fun. I hope you all have a great day!!! - Heidi

Dig Deep Get Well

Hey all you helpers! I just wanted to say a big thanks to YOU! Without your help we could not have raised nearly three thousand dollars!!! Because we did not have many people come, we were able to talk to just about everyone. We don't know how many lives were touched, but God does. I know God is still working through this. Only two nights ago, we were stopped by a neighbor who wants to contribute more, and has a friend who wants to contribute. And yesterday another neighbor made a donation!

Keep praying for the Tracht Family and their work with orphans. They are carrying out the great commission.
God bless,
Heidi

LOVE

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
LOVE NEVER FAILS!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

I love this passage. God has given us each the wonderful task in life to love Him and to love our neighbor. This is the sum of the law. Have a wonderful day!
God Bless, Heidi

Initiative 1000

Hey everybody! I just wanted to ask for your prayers that I-1000 would be stopped. This is a bill that legalizes physician-assisted suicide. It has already been legalized in Oregon and in Holland. This allows doctors to give terminally ill patients pills to kill themselves. We are all called to protect the weak in the Bible.

Proverbs 31:9

Speak up and judge fairly;

defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Psalm 111

Praise the LORD.

I will extol the LORD with all my heart
in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever.
He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever.
He has shown his people the power of his works,
giving them the lands of other nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
They are steadfast forever and ever,
done in faithfulness and uprightness.
He provided redemption for his people;
he ordained his covenant forever
holy and awesome is his name.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

CRAZY Day at the Lake!

Its me again, I just thought you might want to know about my crazy day at the lake. On Thursday we went to the lake with some of our good friends. We decided to ride a bicycle of the docks there. Bad Idea!!! When I went, I kind of went in head first and did a belly flop. Yea I know you think I am crazy, but just a little bit. I only rode off the dock because I was convinced by Kristen. Well now you know what happened to me. Yes, it happened just like that!!!!!

First Post!

Hi, I have finally decided to start blogging! I hope to keep you updated on all the interesting things that are going on in my life. I am 14, and going into 9th grade. I homeschool along with my siblings; Sarah 16, John Elliot 13, and Kristina 11. I enjoy doing many things including: swimming, reading, babysitting, animal-sitting, and taking care of my Jersey cow Apple, and ministry. This summer God gave me the opportunity to serve in three different Vacation Bible Schools. I love taking care of the kids and watching their faces light up when they hear about God. He has definitely given me a love for kids. I will try to post as time goes on. Thank you for visiting my blog, please check back soon.
