An interesting book...

I just finished reading a good book, "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper. It was a good reminder that this is not our home.
See you all there,

Chalenged

Mr. Shanks, the TeenPact guest director gave us a little message each night after worship. Two of them really hit me. One of them was about the red dot principle. You know how in airports they have these maps that say You are here, that is what he was talking about. Everybody needs to know where they are before they can go anywhere. God tells us just where we are when we pray and read His Word. Find out from Him where you are, and then follow where He leads you.
The second one that just struck me as so important was the one on prayer. Lately I have been praying more prayers petitionally that relationally. God wants us to have a relationship with Him, and prayer is the way we communicate with God. Often many of us just treat God like he is Santa Claus, just there to answer and give us and others what they want. He is not our butler.
Philippians 3:8 says: "What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
Paul considered anything he had been given as rubbish compared to knowing Christ. The relationship is what counts, not what you obtain from it. Just knowing Jesus more should be our focus. Try for a week to just pray because you want to spend time with Jesus and grow to love Him more. Believe me, it will be worth it. :)
TeenPact worship and messages in the evening are always inspiring and encouraging. That's just another plus :D I know, you get the point. I think TeenPact is amazing. And it is. Really. :D
Goodnight,

Lately

Hey Y'all,
How are you all doing?
This year has been tough, but a good tough. God is so good. Lately He has been teaching me just to trust Him for everything. I am a worrier. But lately, just reminding myself every day that He is in control and nothing happens that God does not know about has helped me so much. No more tension headaches!!!!!!! You know sometimes I start trying to plan my future(I say trying because it never works out the way I planned) and then God gently tells me, "Heidi, thats not what I have for you, My plan for you is so much better that what you have for yourself. Just trust me for what you do not see. Have faith that I will take care of you." Every time that I give it up to God, it turns out 100 times better than what I had planned.
So I just wanted to share with you all about something the Lord has been teaching me. Trust, and Faith.

TeenPact

This year at TeenPact was amazing!!!! The staff were wonderful. We had Quinton Cools, Kira Clark, Jimmy, Tara, Tim Elliot, and Molly Reich as state staff. Our Interns were August Huckabee, Bryne Goode, and program Director Caleb Baitz. And I shouldn't neglect our camera man, Isaac Harris. Ultimate was great. There were a ton of new kids this year. My brother JE, Hannah Solem, and Michael Turner were the WA state Representatives. Ben Solem was Governor. I grew so much spiritually, and made many lasting friendships. This ministry is so needed in our generation. TeenPact is preparing young people to step out and lead through serving. Its amazing how many lives are changed through it. Every night each cabin gathers together for Rondevue where we talk and pray. It was a great time to just share with other likeminded Christian girls. :D
I would love to staff sometime in the future. Right now, I am just planning my trip to Survival. :D Its going to be amazing. TeenPact and NCFCA have been two of the best things I have done for school, and I should say fun as well. Thats all for now....
I don't know what God has for my future, but He does. And Right now, I am just going to trust Him to take care of it.....:) God has been working on my heart the past week to just rest in what He has planned for me. Who knows what lies just around the corner???:)
